Thank You!

September 8, 2011

Today at work one of the clerk ladies in my section left me a bag on my desk with a note saying “Sylvia if you like these and if they fit please keep them.”  I peeped into the bag and I saw lace…. I work up at the front counter and there were a few gentlemen at the counter when I looked in the bag.  At first I though, HOLY MOLY, did she just give me lingerie? I didn’t dare take it out of the bag and went straight to my coworkers desk…..”Hey… are you giving me lingerie?” I said jokingly….

coworker: “Oh no! It’s a shirt silly! I bought it for my daughter in law, but it doesn’t fit her.  So I thought I’d bring it in and see if you’d like it”

me: “Oh!” I’m shocked! really… “Thanks!” I pull out the shirt, it’s a all lace see-through V-neck flare shirt.  There was also a nude tank top to go with it

coworker: “I don’t know any other trendy girls, and all my friends…well…..we’re just too old for this stuff.  So I thought of you!”

me:”awww.. that’s so nice! THANKS!  I”ll have to try it on and see if it fits :)”

coworker: “of course!  If you like it or if it doesn’t fit, I’ll just take it into the women’s shelter and donate it to them.”

So on my break….. I went to try it on and IT FITS! SCORE! 🙂 and it looks pretty good I must say!  I was actually very shocked that my coworker would think to give the clothing to me to be honest.  So of course the first thing I want to do is THANK HER!

And what better way to thank someone…with a card! 🙂

A lovely thank you card for a VERY lovely coworker 🙂 I used the new and FABULOUS Paisley Petals DSP (122367 $13.50) as the background.

My new favourite thing is the designer frames embossing folders! (123130 $10.95)  I’ve been using the oval one, but there’s actually two frames.  The other one is rectangular and it looks like a picture frame.

How do I scrunch the ribbon?? Well that’s EASY you just put a strip of sticky tape down on your paper and then you just place the ribbon on it as you please! You literally squeeze and scrunch it on! and move it up and down.

Materials I used:

Card Stock: Lucky Limenade, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Paisley Petals DSP

Stamp Set: Four Frames, Short and Sweet

Ink: Early Espresso, Old olive, Lucky Limenade, Calypso Coral

Accessories: Big Shot, Designer Frames embossing folder, Beautiful wings embosslit die, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon (retired), pearls, dimensionals

Happy Thursday!
