Happy St. Patrick’s Day – mojo182

March 15, 2011

There has been a lot of tragedies this past week…. and I just want to take a moment to say that my thoughts are with those in Japan.  The human race is strong, and we will all pull together and survive.  If you are able, please help the Red Cross and donate whatever you can to help those in need.

Life must go on though, we must be thankful for what we have now and cherish those we love and celebrate everyday that we are alive.  We must celebrate those who have passed on….and with that said..we must celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!  With help from Wikipedia…I found this “According to legend, Saint Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish people.”  HUH who would’ve thunk?  Any who.. regardless of what we all believe in, or what color your skin may be, or where your origins may lay… Canadians usually celebrate everything!

With this upcoming celebration, it is only fitting to create something for it!  I used Mojo Monday’s sketch for some inspiration:

Here’s my card:

This is SUPER easy to make!  The background embossing is with the new BIG SHOT EMBOSSING FOLDER from the Mini Occasions.  It embosses all the way around to create a super cute boarder!

I just used the DEFINE YOUR LIFE stamp set to put a sentiment ontop of the Garden Gala DSP!

and to create this shamrock I just punched out 3 hearts and glued them together!  🙂

Happy Crafting everyone!
