A perfect way to say thanks – mojo163

November 4, 2010

Good evening everyone!  I hope you’re all enjoying your Wednesday evening 🙂  A good friend of mine asked me the other day if I could create a Thank You card for her mom to give to coworkers.  You see my friend’s mom has just retired from her career and her coworkers had thrown her a fantastic retirement party!  and the perfect way to say thanks is a nice handmade card 🙂

I knew I wanted to make it elegant, most of her coworkers are women.  Hence, flowers and ribbons and glitter were allowed! lol In order to draw some layout inspiration.. I used this week’s Mojo Monday 163 Contest sketch:

Here’s my card:

Sorry for the blurry image.. I didn’t realize it was that blurry….. whops!  Anywho… I changed a couple of the elements of the sketch around….. and used my newly arrived embossing folder as the background!  so pretty! (vintage wallpaper $10.95 – 120175)

In this month’s newsletter, I gave a tip to add some sparkle to your card!  why?  Well because it makes an image pop, and adds a little something extra to the card to ‘pretty’ it up! 🙂

and last but not least….. a few little pearls… LOVE them!!!! because they’re so affordable! only $6.50 and you get 150 pearls of all different sizes!!! (basic pearls – 119247)

have a great night everyone!!!

Would you be willing to share how you added the glitter on this card? It is so pretty. Thanks.

Of course Kim! I just traced the flowers with a two way glue stick and sprinkled glitter on top of it 🙂 Let me know if you need to purchase a two way glue pen, or glitter!
